Final Day: Welcome, to the mind of Dylan! From Missouri again'! I hope you enjoyed last night's blog, because yet again I was chosen to write about today's amazing engagements. The day started out with yet another "Educational Session" this session was over the hot button topic of Broadband yet again. This morning we were greeted by Lyle Ishida, the Deputy Director of Consumer Outreach. He was a smart and engaging man that answered man of our questions regarding the effects of the "Broadband Plan". Then we heard from Meredith Baker, the Commissioner of the FCC. She floored us with her skills in public presentation and beauty (your welcome Ms. Baker.) Next we heard a speech from Roger Goldblatt, who did the overview of the days meeting. Afterwards we got a treat from Yul Kwon, the finalist and winner of Survivor: Cooks Island. If you don't remember him, look him up and you will know. (Yes I was in the first row and got some great pics.) He answered all of our burning questions about the hit reality TV show "Survivor". Another than that he explained to us his views on child obesity and distracted driving. A smart and ambitious man indeed! To end our "Educational Session" we heard from George Krebs. He was the lead tweeter for the FCC (Yes, I did say twitter. And he also does facebook, and myspace.) Another smart man who gets to do a pretty darn easy job. Definetly something I'm going to look into. After the educational seminar, we took a full photo of all 100 of us. I have to say, it's quite attractive, if I must say. Then we literly ran up Capitol Hill, to get to the Capitol! There we sat on the steps and listened to a Senator from North Dakota. Then we later segued into the Capitol and took a tour. We began the tour by watching a brilliant (but cheaply made, nonetheless. Lol!) movie. After the box office hit, we stepped into line and got geared up for the tour. (Literaly geared up, we obtained head phones, so we could listen to our quiet tour guide.) Then we stepped into the past and enjoyed beautiful adornments and immaculate sculptures. The Capitol building was amazing, the only thing that sucked was how crowded it was. Between not hearing a thing (because of the headphones) and me having a camera plastered to my face. I mowed over a lot of people. Once the tour was over, we got in our respective State groups and headed off to see our represenatives. Unfortunetly our represenitive was "busy on the phone"! From what I head everyone else's represenatives were "on the phones"! They must of had a major conference or something. However, the aid of my represenative was not busy, he came and spoke to us about his thoughts and feelings on the whole "Broadband Issue"! As soon as the convo was over, we made our way though the maze, and out to meet with the rest of the group until...

Now for the fun stuff...Enjoy...

Now here is were the story gets good! There was a bomb THREAT! Crazy scary right! Well not actually a bomb threat, more of a bomb confusion. You see, supposively there was a bag left behind and cops believed it was a bomb! WOW! So, the closed off the roads for a little way and left us scared and confused. (Actually that was over dramatized. We actually thought it was quite exciting!!!) (We country folk dont get out much.) Once we got back to the hotel, we all dressed in our most expensive and exquisive clothes! Then we head off to dinner, which was some fine dining. And now as I am writing this amazing blog, there is a dance party going on! Right now I hear Akon and Lady Gaga calling, so I am going to wrap this up! Thanks for reading yet again, hope you enjoyed! Good Night and Farewell from the whole group of the 2010 Teleco Rural Kids of America!! Until next year...

Dylan
